Abstract This project contains an analysis of the effect the introduction of a 200 MW electrolyser plant has on the grid and on the Nordic power market. The analysis is divided up into two parts: one where data for historical production and consumption of electricity is used to describe the cost aspect in choosing different control strategies for the plant. The analysis in the second part is built on a statistically derived model of the cost of electricity. This model is used as a direct control of the plant. In this part of the project an analysis of the interaction of the electrolyser plant and the prospected expansion in installed wind capacity is carried out with a focus on the cost of electricity.
