|Abstract||The thesis work aims at development of a procedure for determination of stress histories in a wind turbine tower for the purpose of structural health monitoring. The proposed procedure for determination of stress histories is based on operational modal analysis applied on the wind turbine. Acceleration time series measured on the turbine tower are used for the modal identification. The determined modal parameters are used for calibration of a finite element model of the structure under interest. Double integration is used for determination of displacement time series from measured acceleration data. The obtained displacements are used as loading components in subsequent finite element dynamic analysis applied on the turbine tower. The stress histories obtained from the dynamic simulations are compared with real measurements for verification purposes.|
