Abstract Recently a model of the power system of Bornholm were made in PowerFactory. It has been validated for both steady-state and dynamic simulations. It is valuable to have time series of the consumption of each substation of the model classified by load composition. In this project three methods for determination of the load composition has been examined. Method 2 and 3 were based on a estimation process using data from the Elforbrugspaneler, but it was found that the data extracted from were not accurate when representing the consumption of Bornholm. For that reason the load composition calculated from annual settlement data from Østkraft was used. This composition only deviated 7%-points from the informed from Østkraft. The load composition along with the annual settlement data and the Elforbrugspaneler were used to make estimated time series of the residual consumption for the load of every 60/10 kV substation. These and the time series from the hourly measured customers of Bornholm covers the total consumption of Bornholm. The time series were implemented in the PowerFactory model of the power system of Bornholm and a test simulation were successfully carried out. All processing of data has been carried out using SAS.
