Abstract This thesis will discuss methods of gathering various kinds of commonly found properties on physical servers, gathered by different management systems. The thesis will also discuss how to integrate some of those properties into a target application named InfraStruXure Operations and will cover many of the aspects when integrating with other systems, how to present the integrated data, how to collect and store the data. The thesis takes an exploratory approach and will brie fly describe some of the systems which have been tried out, how they might be useful in the environment im using and which systems might be less useful from a value perspective. Having available server-level information available inside ISX Operations will bring a tremendous advantage because ISX Operations already has a strong physical model of the datacenter. Adding system information on a server basis makes it possible to model almost the entire datacenter, making it easier for the data center operator to monitor and survey the state of the datacenter.
