||Since 2005 an annual multi-agent programming contest has been held to stimulate
research in the area of multi-agent systems. The Multi Agent Programming
Contest 2010 scenario was to solve a cooperative task in a dynamic environment
using a multi-agent system.
This report focuses on developing a modular multi-agent framework which is extended
to use in the contest scenario. The framework will oer communication and
logging facilities usable in any multi-agent system. The framework will be
extended with parts specifically designed for the competition scenario.
The solution is build on the Managed Extensible Framework, which is a Dependency
Injection framework that facilitates modularity, reusability and extensibility.
Pathnding is a big part of the challenge presented by the competition scenario.
Therefore different pathfinding algorithms are investigated, tested and tweaked
to improve the performance of the system.
