Abstract The Master Thesis intentions are to clarify what Agile manufacturing stands for, explain and show the main differences among other manufacturing systems as lean, mass …etc. The hardness involve on understanding the meaning of agile and also the great difficulties in becoming an agile enterprise is in the nowadays articles, journals and books. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to clarify and show the “Know-how” to achieve this goal. In order to do so, it will be needed to deal with the problematic of forming agile enterprises, which is very deep related to virtual enterprises. The problems related to change into an agile manufacturing enterprise strives in the difficulties of choosing and developing the right Information Technology (IT). Why should that be so important? Because it does not exist a 100% agile enterprise at this moment, which means there is not a model to follow in order to succeed changing into agile enterprise, there is a high risk forming such an enterprise, but might be a higher risk if the enterprises do not intend so. The deepest study is going to be over the Information Technology applied on Virtual enterprises, which is the most common way to become agile, going through a study of the agile developing software enterprises, to obtain the minimum probability of failure.
