|Abstract||The objective of this project is to develop a concept for a new Ambu resuscitator product fitted to meet the requirements of customers and patients in China. To obtain a better understanding of the current market situation and its stakeholders, the project will include research on the Chinese resuscitator market.
The project uses primary data obtained through questionnaires and interviews with Ambu´s customers and distributors, in order to interpret and understand specific needs and behavioral patterns in China. Also, secondary data sources are used to explain current trends and competitive factors that are likely to influence Ambu´s future sales on the Chinese resuscitator market.
Based on the findings in the market research, the project has tried to generate, select and formulate a new resuscitator concept, suited to the needs and circumstances in China.
The result of the project is a suggested new product concept with incremental changes that allows Ambu to provide the Chinese market with a unique patient-oriented and affordable resuscitator.
