Abstract The Insurance Fund for Engineers in Denmark, IAK, prints out digital letters/documents each night because it needs to send them out physically the next morning. The digital documents that are available for IAK’s members are not legal binding so therefore all unread documents are printed and sent out. The Nights Print retrieves all the digital documents that have not been read and prints them out so they are ready for enveloping and franking. Under this process The Nights Print makes sure to have a verbose logging to a database. The Nights Print is a Windows application, build on top of the .NET framework. The Nights Print is not run by humans, but by another application called Modulus. Modulus is the case management software used by IAK. Modulus has a scheduling tool that runs The Night’s Print at a certain time of the night. The administrator of The Nights Print can therefor set the time for when the Nights Print should begin, in the scheduling tool. The Administrator can also configure The Nights Print in a text file before each run. The Nights Print brings all the processes together into one application and it cooperates with Modulus, which is the most used software at IAK.
