|Abstract||This report is a feasibility study which examines the possibility of entering a new market, Norway, with the existing software “godialog” for employee development interviews – developed by the Danish company Competencehouse.
The software helps private companies and governmental institutions to ease the process of employee development interviews by offering a range of tools where the most important is question templates for the interviews. The software is valuable to companies and institutions since it saves time, money and most importantly, it gives a structure on how to develop employees.
Data collection occurred through several sources, including informal interviews, seminars, experts, books and the Internet. Especially, emphasis has been put on the data from the seminars and the experts. Thus, the quality of these sources have been considered as exceptionally high and have led to the development of several thoughts, demonstrated in the report.
Moreover, the data collection eventually also allowed structuring this study. Consequently, this report first thoroughly describes the software. Thereafter, an investigation of the Norwegian market is executed to examine if there is a need for “godialog”. The result indicates the opportunity of entering the market as possible. Therefore, the next part of this report is to analyse the market conditions, which among several issues reveals the need for differentiation due to the tough competition in the industry. After thoroughly analysing the market conditions, the next part of this report illuminates on the strategy and plans for the market entry. In addition, one of the issues reveals the need for a website, which will be utilised as one of the channels to distribute “godialog”.
Thus, the third part of this study concentrates mainly on giving suggestions on how to build an optimised website. Consequently, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques are utilised to create a website, optimised to a certain degree so a higher result in the search engines is achieved.
Furthermore, the design of the website is elaborated on, and lastly a payment system is built.
This report concludes the possibility of entering the Norwegian market with “godialog” since there is a market for the product and it is economically feasible.
The outcome and the results of this study will be utilised by Competencehouse before and during the entry on the Norwegian market.
