Abstract Abstract
The purpose of this bachelor thesis has been to investigate how Radiometer Medical ApS becomes a supplier to mobile emergency hospitals with regard to its blood gas analysers. Furthermore, the potential of the market has been analysed. The complex market in which mobile emergency hospitals operate has been outlined and the most promising market has been determined to be the suppliers of mobile emergency hospitals. Investigations and research have shown that when a mobile emergency hospital is sold, it has often been customised in close co-operation with the purchasing entity. This entity will not be within the reach of Radiometer Medical ApS and therefore impossible to influence. Instead, Radiometer Medical ApS shall aim at giving the supplier of mobile emergency hospitals incentive to recommend the blood gas analysers, since this is the only possibility of influencing the purchasing entity indirectly. However, if a blood gas analyser has been sold, the necessary continuous sale of consumables cannot be assured, due to the fact that mobile emergency hospitals are often kept in stock. To become a supplier to mobile emergency hospitals, focus shall consequently be on making it advantageous for the supplier of mobile emergency hospitals, but the uncertainty of the continuous sale of consumables and the fact that Radiometer Medical ApS cannot influence the purchasing entity, has resulted in that the market of MEH suppliers has been deemed uncertain and risky.
