Abstract This bachelor's thesis first introduces the company and determines the key parts of the business model on the home market. Thereafter, the key elements for a successful expansion is determined and examined through a selection process based on a heavily modified PEST analysis. This resulted in the choice of Sweden for the expansion process, and this market was then examined deeper to determine what level of modification to the business model is necessary in order to succeed in Sweden. Emphasis has been put on assuring that the models are as similar as possible to lower organisational complexity. This resulted in a very similar model, with the insurance companies in Sweden supporting the sales of the window lock and a single distributor. The report then focuses on the technical development of the portfolio through a feasibility study and initial product development of a networked lock using Bluetooth, resulting in the conclusion that the product is deemed feasible and further development is recommended.
