Abstract Sense A/S is currently developing the ContiPress™, a novel and innovative device for the measurement of blood pressure, but is still progressing through the pre-market phase. During the following report it was investigated how a website could be created with the intention of targeting their online communication towards possible exit-partners.
By investigating Sense A/S, its competencies and technological knowledge, while at the same time investigating the procedure of a M&A process within the MedTech industry it became possible to identify several factors that were of importance to exit partners.
Through an establishment of the requirements for the website, the platform WordPress was chosen. Based on the premise that Sense A/S would benefit from infusing their online communication channel with elements of design and layout utilised by M&A representatives, an analysis of the graphical design and usability elements of the websites of 14 leading companies within the MedTech industry was performed. This led to the choice of the theme Avada and the identification of graphical design and usability elements which should be incorporated.
Through an analysis of the cultural indicators of the websites of four M&A representatives, it was found to be a factor of great importance to highlight the employees through extensive profiles, with an emphasis on personal character, skill-sets and previous achievements. In addition, it was found essential to provide online documentation of the progress, approval processes and adherence to relevant regulatory laws on the website. This would enable visiting exit-partners to evaluate the potential investment immediately through the website.
Due to the large influence of American companies on the MedTech industry as a whole, the conclusions drawn from the analyses within this report could be seen as biased. It is important that the implementation of findings is carried out in collaboration with Sense A/S, in order to ensure that the cultural values of Sense A/S are properly integrated. If a vicarious implementation of findings based on American values was performed, the core values of Sense A/S could be lost.
