The task is lifting a complete assembled motor in one piece, determining if there is a better way of doing this instead of the usual, done with sets of long wires at each end of the motor. The main objective is getting a low lifting height.
Different solutions are examined, and by systematic selection one is chosen as the most suitable.
The solution is changed into a construction. Manual calculations are made, and changes to the construction are done when necessitated by the calculations. Finally the construction is checked with a 3-D calculation program.
The solution to the task is two lifting yoke’s (one at each end of the motor) that is capable of performing the lift, within the desired parameters.
