|Abstract||When the Skagerrak 4 connection is finish, the power rating for the entire Skagerrak station will be raised to over the double. An expansion of the existing electrodeline is planned to happen at the same time. The expansion is required because the higher power rating will affect the maximum current which can run in the electrodeline.
This report describes how the protection of the electrodeline will function. The principle of the protection is looked at, and a solution to how it is possible to integrate it in ABB’s MACH2 system is described.
The solution is constructed in ABB’s HiDraw program. HiDraw is a High Level programming tool, designed to generate software code for the MACH2 system. The most important functions in HiDraw are explained, and examples are described to make it easy for a newcomer to understand.
