|Abstract||The rise of smartphones has opened new opportunities for indie developers. I intend to grasp this opportunity to develop a smartphone game using the Unity game engine.
The bachelor project will be completed in Shanghai, as I have a great desire to settle down in China, and I see this as a great opportunity to expand my international contacts and continue to grow as a person.
The game, Doodle Shooter, will draw inspiration from the cultural arcade video game, space invaders, in which enemies will drop down from the top of the smartphone screen while the player continuously fire projectiles.
In order to make the Doodle Shooter game unique, the player will contain three player states, each state providing a unique color to the player and its projectiles, matching the colors of the enemies. If an enemy is hit by a projectile of same color it will be destroyed, increasing the game score. High scores will be stored on the smartphone, as well as sent to a server to add competitiveness to the game.
