|Abstract||The lip sync error is actually the delay between audio and video signal. The purpose of this project is to develop a solution for measuring lip sync error problem in the broadcasting industry. The project is developed base on the available technologies and equipments from DK-Technologies.
There are two main devices use in this project, which are video sync generator PT5300 and wave form monitor P760M. The video sync generator is capable of generating audio and different high definition video for different video systems. The wave form monitors is used for analyzing audio and video signal and detect lip sync error.
The main idea of the project is to detect the audio peak sample and video peak frame. The audio peak detector detects the audio sample with peak amplitude in each period and trigger audio peak flag. The video peak detector detects the video frame with the peak luminance value and trigger video peak flag. The distance/time between the two flags indicates the delay between audio and video.
